Here’s the first grainy video of my SoftStepSeq class in action. Just a regular 16 step drum sequencer with kick, snare and hihat. This baby can do much more though. I’ll show you that later. As usual, I’m too ashamed of my code to release it yet Give me some more time. Sorry for the bad quality. It was the best my Panasonic could deliver. I hope you get the idea anyway.

This is the Sinfonia to Cantata 35 ‘Geist und Seelle wird verwirret’ by JS Bach. It is played on a home constructed Moog Modular 3C I built from schematics about 15 years ago and am still completing. Some of the sounds have been sampled direct from the 3C when the tuning became an issue and the piece was not recorded onto tape, as was the original SOB’s, but directly to digital multi track.

This electronic musical synthesizer intends for signal’s design of audible range of band with a possibility to play solo musical compositions. It can be used to create audio effects if connected to the outward acoustic device. The synthesizer can be used as a non-standart electric signal’s source for scientific and educational needs. The synthesizer consists of the following main blocks: control unit, tone generator, vibrato generator, filter, contour and output. TONE OSCILLATOR – waveform, frequency modulation, modulation amount, impulse width modulation, harmonics, portamento, tuning, octave +1/+2. VIBRATO OSCILLATOR – waveform (“N”), frequency, 1Hz/10Hz, ON (modulation). FILTER – adjustment (cutoff), resonance, vibrato, contour on (contourosc) – attack, release, sustain, decay OUTPUT – level, on. This monophonic synthesizer with 3 oscillators is a modern musical instrument. If a player uses different musical effects (for example three-part unison, timbral glissando, frequency vibrato, timbre tremolo, decay, attack, strings.) a composition would sound in a new fashion. Sounding may be changed during the playing as well as timbre: special controls are provided for it. There is a possibility to record sounding on a tape during playing composition. This instrument can be successfully used in a variety ensembles. The elegent package made out of aluminium alloy and is covered with artificial leather. It is well protected by the light and firm case. Source : ruskeys.net
