Moog Slim Phatty and Korg Radias

via MrRidgebackman:

Piece of music put together to test the MIDI out capabilities from the Korg Radias and in this case driving a Moog Slim Phatty. MIDI was able to send the arp information to the MOOG and also the Sequencer MIDI Data can be sent. This music is to demonstrate the fact. The Audio Output of the Moog Slim Phatty was connected to the Audio Input on the Korg Radias and processed using the built in effects of the Radias, To enable output of ARP and SEQ MIDI Data, go into Global Settings P01 and set the Position setting to PostKBD and save. This will allow you to sequence external instruments, either Synth or Rhythm devices. If you have a Polyphonic Synth you want to sequence via MIDI, the Korg’s Sequencer will allow chords to be sent also. It was a good exercise for me to learn this and I am sure others will enjoy the benefit of knowing this. I also wanted to get the Moog into full swing, having played with this for a few weeks now, I absolutely love this module, I love what it has given me and the fact it is a Moog (for me – always wanted one). The Korg and the Moog do play well together and I am hoping to work on this piece soon and finalise this and move onto my next track. In the very near future, I am hoping to add the Minimoog Voyager XL into the mix, possibly another Sp or LP and some Moogerfoogers. The Video is basic, as always so I won’t be getting nominated for any awards and it is in rough form. The audio is crap due to dodgy cables – My fault, should have bought decent
